February 4, 2025 - Tholus Capital, a leading investment firm specializing in Defense and Civil Resilience technology is pleased to announce the appointment of Moritz Pichler as Partner and Head of Technology.

 

Moritz Pichler brings over 15 years of experience in the global defense industry, with a strong track record in venture investments, M&A, and strategic leadership across the whole spectrum of defense technology sectors. Prior to joining Tholus Capital, he served as Head of Ventures at Hensoldt, a leading German defense prime contractor, where he established the first German Corporate Defense Accelerator and led global venture partnerships and investments, focusing on cutting-edge defense startups.

Throughout his career, Pichler has held senior leadership roles at top European defense prime contractors, including OHB (Space), Airbus (Space & Airborne), Rheinmetall (Ground Vehicles & Weapons), and Microsoft (Cloud & Cyber). He also founded Rheinmetall Cyber Solutions, leading the business to ISO certification and acquisition of a global multi million euro contract from a DAX 40 corporate.

Pichler holds a B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering from the State University of Baden-Württemberg and a professional degree in Electrical Engineering from the Max Valier Institute.
